The Season of Growth
Spring.
It’s finally here.
Yesterday the temperature reached into the 60s. The sun was shining, people were smiling, and you could smell spring in the air. I decided to take advantage of the day by getting out my bike. I headed out to the Saginaw Valley Rail Trail where I planned to ride for an hour. As [...]
WPBT Event – 03302005
The next WPBT event is tonight on Poker Stars (details). Unfortunately I won’t be able to play since my brother is in town.
Review: Winning Low-Limit Hold'em
Lee Jones did a good job writing Winning Low Limit Hold’em. The book is a solid 193 pages of information for low limit Texas Hold’em players. If I hadn’t read SSH and ITH, I would have really been impressed, but WLLH was pretty much the same information, but just a shorter format.
Jones breaks the book [...]
2 for 2
I hope everyone had a good Easter weekend. I enjoyed a few days in northern Michigan with my family. On two of those days I played in $5 tournaments with my brother and his friends. Each of the two tournaments had 7 players total. I had never finished in the money with these kids so [...]
Mario – Power Up!
I wore this shirt out to the bar on Friday night and every single person I talked to made a comment about it. Most laughed actually. I just bought it the day before and happen to love the shirt. It brings back a lot of childhood memories.
Tag, You're It!
Since I started using Flickr earlier this month, I’ve falling in love with tags. Using categories in WordPress has always been a burden, so made the move to rid the site of them. Using tags is much better way to classify things in my opinion. You can view a heat map or full list of [...]
Bonus Clearance & Bankroll Buildance
Just a quick post for an update of the last two days.
In addition to hitting royal flush #6 on Tuesday I was able to clear about 400 more raked hands for the Party Poker bonus. In the process I also took down a profit of $20. Nothing spectacular, but always better than a losing day.
Last [...]
Take On the Fives
How many 5 year-olds could you take on? One of the greatest hypothetical questions I’ve ever come across. I think I could take on quite a few more than 30.
Johnny Chan Poker Chip Trick
New poker chip trick over at Poker Chip Tricks. It’s the Johnny Chan!
Johnny Chan Poker Chip Trick
Over the last couple of months I’ve had quite a few requests for the Johnny Chan trick we’ve all seen in the movie Rounders. I was finally able to work on it and have posted a video, photos, and tutorial.
Go check out the Johnny Chan Poker Chip Trick.
Royal Flush #6
I’m don’t even know what to say. 3 royal flushes in the past 50 hours. Online poker must be rigged! I’m going to have more Party Poker hats than I know what to do with. I should go buy a lotto ticket…
Redneck Poker
You might be a redneck if…you setup your poker table in the middle of the forest.
My Night
I knew it was going to be my night within minutes of taking my seats at Party Poker. I hit the nut straight on the turn and was getting bet into. I of course raised back and the pot was capped. In addition to myself and the other raiser in the pot, 3 other people [...]
Adsense EFT
Google Adsense adds an EFT payment option. I’ll be happy to get my payments deposited right into my bank account instead of waiting 4 weeks for my monthly check to be sent.
Rack It Up
Just ordered a new bike rack to use with the hitch on my TrailBlazer. I decided to go with the Thule 996 – Expressway from Rack Attack which has some good deals right now. I can’t wait to get out on my bike again!
Some Bad Plays
After hitting two royal flushes last night I was on a poker high so I decided to wait until today to review my play from the session. My biggest losing hand was so horribly played that I can’t believe it myself. I raised in late position with AcTc and one limper called. The flop was [...]
Ya Nut
Does anyone else love the new Coke commercial? It’s the one with the “…put the lime in the Coke, ya nut…” jingle. I can’t stop singing it!
