MtDewVirus is now the 5th result when searching nick on Google. Movin’ in up…
Update: Here at work I’m up to #4 while using Firefox, but if I search in IE it comes up #12. Google Personalized Search is screwing with my search results! Turn of GPS and FF shows MDV at #12. Damn, I thought [...]

Poker Chip Colors
I’ve never memorized the standard colors used for different poker chip denominations, so I looked them up. Thought I’d post them here as well for reference.
White – $1
Red – $5
Blue – $10
Green – $25
Black – $100
I'd Rather Be Home Playing WOW
Overheard on Friday night in the movie theater as The Da Vinci Code was about to begin…
I’m not even excited for this movie anymore. I should just go home and play WOW.
“Wow” is right. I hope I never get the urge to play the game.
By the way, I thought the movie was an excellent adaptation [...]
Money Back in Spades
You know the saying that ends with “money back in spades.” We’ve all heard it in different ways…
Earned his money back in spades.
Repaid their money back in spades.
etc…
Why spades? If we’re talking money, shouldn’t diamonds be the more expensive suit in a deck of cards?
Top Tier Tigers
The Detroit Tigers hold the best record in Major League Baseball at 27-13. Unreal!
Saint's Season Tickets Sell Fast
Saints set franchise record for season-ticket sales. Does this have more to do with drafting Reggie Bush using the 2nd pick of the 2006 NFL Draft or Huricane Katrina’s impact on the city?
How to Break 80 Newsletter
How to Break 80 is a site where you can purchase an eBook (along with many other free bonuses) of golf tips for $37. Travelling Golfer was doing a review a few weeks ago, so I visited the site and found the free newsletter. Each week I get an email with 2 golf tips in [...]
Heads Up SNGs
I still haven’t been playing much poker, but wanted to write something, so here you have it.
Once a week or so I get the urge to play for a quick hour or so and my game of choice has been heads up sit ‘n go tournaments on Noble Poker. I like the blind levels and [...]
Stuck Around 43-46
For the past couple of weeks my scoring has been stuck in the 43-46 range. I did break 40 once this year, and over the weekend shot a 40 and 41, but I seem to be giving away too many shots on most rounds. The inconsistency of my driving is the part of my game [...]
Down 20
I didn’t hit 180 by the end of March as I had hoped, but a month and a half later I’m finally reaching that point. I’ve weighed in at 179.5 two of the last three mornings which puts me down 20 pounds in about 3 and a half months. Since my last update I’ve lost [...]
Pen Preference
I prefer click pens over pens with a cap because they’re so much easier to use.
Review: Brush Tee
I had always wanted to try out the Brush Tee, so when The Savvy Golfer sent me a package of them for testing, I was all for it. The whole idea makes a lot of sense…less resistance against your ball and club at contact and the ball will fly longer.
Last week while golfing a round [...]
Blinksale
Two weeks ago I wrote over at NICKED Up about using Blinksale for invoicing, but wanted to make mention of it here as well where I think I have a few more readers. Let me tell you…Blinksale kicks ass!
The easiest way to send invoices online.
Blinksale
I’ve had a chance to really get my hands dirty in [...]
Thelma & Norma – Citibank Commercial
Citibank has put together some great commercials about identity theft in the last couple of years. Their latest, Thelma and Norma, is one of the funniest commercials I’ve ever seen.
Trying Tennis
This weekend when my friend Mo was in town I tried out tennis for the first time. Mo is a pretty good tennis player (or at least that’s what he tells everyone) so I figured he could give me a few pointers, teach me the game, and give me a few tennis tips. It was [...]
Review: TurfTee
“TurfTee is a revolutionized way of hitting golf balls versus the old fashioned rubber tees.” The idea behind the tee is great in theory and something I’ve always wished for. Hitting off the standard rubber tees at a driving range has never been one of my favorite ways to practice and never will. With TurfTee [...]
33 is 21st for 104
A 33-year-old man recently married a 104-year-old woman. It’s the woman’s 21st marriage!
