Apple Device Names
I’m not sure why I started, but I’ve been incorporating my actual name, “Nick” into the device name for all of my Apple devices. Currently I have:
NickBook – first generation black MacBook
nickPhone – first generation 8GB iPhone
iNick – 10 inch iMac purchased as soon as Leopard was released
nickTV – Apple TV purchased last week

Remove Mac OS X System Preferences Pane
In Mac OS X, some applications will install as a System Preferences pane. You can’t drag these to the trash like most applications. So how do you get rid of them?

I’d like to get Apple TV. I checked my TV last night and I don’t have HDMI input at all and both of my component video inputs are used. My audio receiver doesn’t have any digital audio inputs available either.
