Review: The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift

I enjoyed the original The Fast and the Furious, but thought 2 Fast 2 Furious was a bit far-fetched, especially the end scene with the boat landing on the yacht. So going into the third movie, Tokyo Drift, I wasn’t sure what to expect, which is exactly the reason I waited until the movie hit the cheap seats and I could see it for $2.25.

I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. Walking into the theater I figured I was getting some cheap entertainment for 2 hours, but instead I saw a decent movie. As I sat back in my seat I felt the same enjoyment I did going to the very first movie in the F&F series. Tricked out cars and hot girls are two great ingredients to use for a good movie because they get your attention right away.

I really enjoyed all of the drifting which is a completely different type of racing than we saw in either of the previous two films. I wish I could drive like some of the stunt men who did the scenes for this movie. The end of the movie was a bit of a surprise and a nice touch to leave the door open for a fourth film.
