WMware’s Fusion and Workstation products are worlds apart in terms of usability. I’m patiently waiting for Workstation to load a Ubuntu virtual machine at work. With Fusion I would have already been done with what I needed to do.

Lock Screen and Sleep Display with Quicksilver

Looking for a quick way to lock your screen and put the display to sleep on Mac OS X using Quicksilver?

Download Sleep Display.
Extract the zip file and move SleepDisplay to your Applications folder.
Run the SleepDisplay application at least once.
Fire up Script Editor and enter the following code:
do shell script “/System/Library/CoreServices/Menu\\ Extras/User.menu/Contents/Resources/CGSession -suspend”
launch application “SleepDisplay”

Free Windows SSH Server

freeSSHd is a free SSH Server for use on a Windows NT based Operating System. I’m using it on Windows XP and it works great. Very easy to setup. I recommend using it in combination with Hamachi.

Force Install MSI

Multi-Monitor taskBar

If you use a multiple monitor display I found a cool free utility that allows you to have a second taskbar. It also provides buttons on each of your windows so that you can easily move a window from one display to the next. Nifty!
