I walked downstairs this morning and found no bacon had been cooked for breakfast. I didn’t run into any other Automatticians on the way. It was almost 9am when I crawled out of bed this morning. I never sleep that late anymore. Yesterday afternoon I got home from Park City, Utah, where I had spend a week at Automattic‘s once-a-year Grand Meetup. I always take an extra day off work to recover from the highs and lows of the trip, so today I’ll be able to catch up on things around the house and come back down to Earth.

Matt, Lori, and others have written more, so I won’t say much. Going into the week I had met about 160 Automatticians.

I can’t wait for the next opportunity to meet more and get to know everyone better. Every meal, flash talk, conversation, introduction, ping pong game, workshop, and activity felt like eating tasty bacon. I’m out of bacon, which is always depressing.
